The house, situated in the small village of Torre di Buiano (470m a.s.l.), stands on a west-facing hillside and is surrounded by olive groves and woods. From its windows and from the large garden there are beautiful views of the countryside around Fiesole and across the broad valley that descends towards Florence.
The area of the house reserved for guests has a separate entrance and consists of two double bedrooms with private bathroom on the first floor, and another large double bedroom with bathroom on the ground floor. On this level there is also the guests’ breakfast room. In the warmer months breakfast is also served outdoors under the vine pergola in front of the house.
The garden and field belonging to the property offer many opportunities for rest and relaxation, while the hills and woods in the area are full of well-marked paths for hiking.
Just across the road there is an excellent trattoria serving typical Tuscan cuisine.
Fiesole (7 km away) is an interesting historical town, with Etruscan and Roman remains. It has good parking facilities and an efficient bus service to the centre of Florence.
